I'm 22, male, unmarried and part time student. It's very hard to find cheap insurance (under 170$) so i need some help. I try getting quotes online but they ask for a lot of information that i'm not comfortable giving out online (ssn). Anyone knows a cheap insurance for a driver like me? I still owe on the car, will i have to be fully insured or can i get the minimum coverage?
I just hate how they "discriminate" drivers by age, gender and gpa I never got in an accident and only had a speeding ticket since 2004 when i started driving and i don't feel i should have to pay too much because i chose not to be married or go to school part time

I've never seen an online quote system require an SSN..

Try Amica. I hold a policy through their office in Novato.. for me, they're significantly cheaper than Geico, State Farm and Progressive and in line with what I was paying for 21st Century before AIG bought them out. I'm 25 and have an accident on my record, and I pay $1600 a year. (I do get a multi-line discount since I have renter's through them.)

You do need full coverage until the car is paid off, and it's a good idea in any case. You can be the best driver in the world, and some bozo can still hit you.

Try here.

California Low Cost Automobile Insurance Program *(Version 1.5.1)

The state has a program to insure the low income. If you qualify, its really cheap.
