The descriptions of the governer and the legistlature are so dead on. I only "opted out" last year but have watched the three ring circus for years, with democtats and republicans in both situations and agendas and egoo taking center stage. I'm a third generation native but couldn't wait to leave and would have been gone before that if I'd been able to.

What the article doesn't mention is the incredable labranth of laws about everything, and the way everything but breathing seems to be taxed. This is a big reason why so many are "opting out" and many more will be to places where maybe you don't get as much but you don't have a foot thick rule book and living is incredably cheaper.

I went back to california for the holidays after only a few months and it already feels like a foreign country.

this article is lame, it pretends illegals will some how save us. while i agree immigrants can fuel the entrepreneurial fire that we need. the mass invasion and the fact that they suck up services while citizens end up paying is a HUGE drain. instead the article blames the very people footing the bill on the right and the left. California will return it's been in worse shape and people down there get stuff done, even if the government is lost in space.
