Hi, I'm in my mid 40's but still love to dance and like current music. I don't want to go to a place where everyone is in their early 20's. Can someone recommend a place that caters to an older crowd or at least a mixed crowd?

I heard on the news that there is a new place (not sure if it's open yet) that caters to older crowds--it's called "Mix." Apparently, 40 year olds get in for free, 30s pay $10 cover and 20s pay $20. I'd also be interested in going out more if there were some nice places that catered to an older clientelle.

Try Tre...it's a new spot in the old El Torito building on Howe, renovated by the Haines brothers who own Bistro 33. It's really nice and has more of a mixed crowd, cool music. The negative is that it's out of the way

Mix is also a new spot that is really nice. It's a half indoor/outdoors lounge on the top of the Firestone Building on 16th and L. Not a huge dance floor, but people do groove--it's more of a chill spot for people of all ages.

Great place to go for just drinks in a friendly atmosphere in Citrus Heights is Shakers. Something new opening in Old Sacramento is Doc Holliday's River City Saloon, Tourists by day, locals by night.
