Each to their own. I lived in Sacramento for a year and LOVED it. How anyone could be bored there is beyond me. Just stay away from Roseville and the I-80, WEST Sac is a good area to look into. I lived in South Sac near I-5 and could be in the country in three minutes. I loved walking my dog on the levees in Freeport although I'm sure it will soon be overdeveloped. Good luck!.

My wife grew up at 59th & M street in East Sac. You can walk to Corti Bros.
Across the street (Folsom) from Corti Bros. is an excellent restaurant called "Espagnol". Don't pass it by thinking its a Mexican food restaurant. It's all Italian (family style) and it will remind you of Chicago.

Ick. I grew up in a Chicago Italian neighborhood, and as much as I like the family that owns the restaurant, the food's not good.

What can I say. It was good when I went there. Minestrone soup and garlic chicken were great. Good portions, reasonable prices. Based upon your difference of opinion it just goes to show you, there is an ass for every seat.
