Hello Everyone,

My husband and I (along with our two young children) are considering buying a home in a neighborhood directly east of Reichmuth Park, off 47th Ave and South Land Park Drive. It looks like a nice neighborhood, and the areas North and East are nice, but the areas South and West are not good.

Can anyone provide any information on this neighborhood? Is it a good fit for a young family? Is it safe, or is it too close to undesirable areas of Sacramento?

Thank you for your time.

Take a look at the schools in the area and see how they fare. Also look at some local crime stats if you can find those. That should help you out. I'm not too familiar with the area but know that south land park is nice, but there are some shady areas near there.

I grew up in the 95831 (pocket side though). Reichmuth park is an ok neihborhood but it is nicer on the West side of I-5.

If you look on Google maps near highway 99 and 12th avenue you will see Oak Park. Not sure about Elmhurst.
