Hello all. I know this might not be the right place, but I know many of you are weekend warriors and DOYers. So my DH and I would like our 2 car driveway to become a 3 car driveway. The area we'd like to pave with concrete is grass with an an auto sprinkler system right now. Anyone have a clue about how much it would cost? Estimated dimensions are maybe 4 feet wider and 5 feet longer than a typical parking spot. Help?!

About $1200 to have it done with asphalt, $2000-$2500 to have it done with concrete. That's a very rough estimate based on what you've described. If the rest of your driveway is concrete, you'll probably wanna tint everything once the new piece is added to blend it all together.

And you will probably need a permit from the city since you are tying in to the street. HOA/CCR might have a factor too.

I always prefer saying yes to doing that because I'd rather see cars parked in an extra driveway than on the road.

Call five contractors and have them give you free bids.

I poured a rebar reinforced 4" 300 sqft paid for about $1000.00 in materials and equipment a couple of weeks ago. This included renting out a concrete pumper. All the labor I did myself.

Obviously this is about twice the size you would need.

If you know how to finish concrete, then obviously the best way to go is to DIY.

We're probably going to hire to do it. Between my husband's bad back and the fact that we have infant twins at home, we're going to have to pony up on this one.
