Folsum? never heard of that......oh, you mean Folsom

Preppy definitely does not fit Folsom. I can think of other names that do.

IMO there are no "preppy" areas at all anywhere in or near Sacramento. Sure you might see the odd person wearing boat shoes. But even places like Granite Bay feel nothing like Northeast. If you wear pants with lobsters on them in California, you'll never hear the end of it.

To me the closest thing you get to that is in Granite Bay or East Sac in pockets and even there, still kind of hard pressed to find preppiness NE style. I think you'd see it more there than in Carmichael though. I have seen guidos in Roseville area I know who probably come from upper middle class families but they don't seem as loud as in New Jersey or NY but either way, they should move to where more of their own people are. In Folsom Downtown, I have seen a few of these though yes. I'm guessing some moved from Chicago as theres a high Italian population there and Chicago style pizza places showed up in that area too.. I got out of there because I knew it wasn't right for me. I connect more to the east.. even toward the preppiness styles of the east. Coincidentally though, Beverly Hills Polo Club stuff is out of California and their clothes are like Preppy NE styles.
