It might be worthwhile to spend some time reading the archives for threads discussing Folsom.

Folsom has beautiful spring weather with lots of wildflowers. Winter is rainy with mild temps. There is a lot of recreation in Folsom with the lake and the river, loads of trails for biking etc. The pro's are that it is just generally a nice area and the above mentioned. The main con is probably the traffic, it takes forever to get through Folsom, just like any other city near Sacramento along the American River. It is more or less an above average suburb, mostly generic, but with a nice little historic district right along the American River.

It froze here last night while my son in Philadelphia will be having 87 degrees on Thursday. We haven't really had a sustained Spring this year.

Winters are not as bad as a lot of areas in the country, but can be wet and cold with many overcast days where the pollution settles into the Sac Valley.

This year particularly, I wouldn't rate either the winter or spring as really delightful. And the searing heat is right around the corner.
