After looking at some of the electric bills for homes in Rocklin we decided to limit our search to Roseville. PG&E is so much more expensive than Roseville Electric, especially for a larger home (or pool, etc).

Thanks for all the insight everyone! I would tend to agree that Roseville is the better choice overall. Our budget is 400,000. We saw homes less than 3 yrs old 2500+sqft. 2 car garage on .25 acre. From all the realestate data as of late, there's a rather large number of foreclosures due to hit the market late this year and all through 2011. Should make for an interesting time for buyers and sellers alike.

I know this is 4 years old! But, does anyone know what's the difference between PG&E and Roseville Electric rates? Is there a place I can find average PG&E rates for a 2100 odd sq ft home in Rocklin? Thank you.

Thank you! New Englanders do not adjust well here. I am one of those. You gotta be in East Sac to be remotely close to what it was like in Boston proper. Maybe a bad part of Carmichael is like parts of Boston but most of the time its quite an adjustment. Its better in Florida for a lot of us.

Politically I either lean too right for some or too left. To the repugs out here, I am a lefty, to a liberal in SF, I am the Colorado shooter. Out here I feel more left, I will not lie. I mean if I lived here long term and didn't get out, I would be a member of the communist party or whatever local chapter I could find. I kid you not. If I lived in SF for years, I'd be a full out National Socialist. I tend to be centrist but a centrist who could go to either extreme if pushed. I am a unique case in this way.
