Look at the number of posts from this character. Lots of time on his/her hands, obviously. Nasty remarks from someone who probably isn't the vaunted "professional" that "worthy" persons "nurture themselves" into, in his limited and nasty view. UGH.

Maybe for a single income.

Of course there are a lot of families that can't afford that, but then there are a lot of families with a single income of $15 per hour. How that adult placed themselves in that income range, I don't know.

But I usually think of a affordability and income along the lines of people who nurtured themselves into professionals who could afford to raise a family.

Perhaps you forget that a family still has to pay hundreds per month for health insurance and medical costs for their children, child care costs, extra food and clothing that a single "professional" doesn't have to worry about. Being a "professional", money might come to easy to forget the realities and hardships of others, which is sadly a blatant sign of the superficial spoiled American snob. Next time you are served your nice Italian dinner by a waiter, or next time your groceries are bagged for you, realize it still takes the service industry to help you live and enjoy your affluent life.

I am closing this thread. It's turned into a flame the other guy situation. Plus it's off the main topic.
