Well it happened! After looking at homes in Oregon and Washington for almost six years, we finally bought one!

After probably the worst trip we have ever experienced (rental car problems, lost cell phone, motel phone problems, dead car battery at the airport when we got back), we actually had the offer on the home that we were going to see in West Salem accepted. Wow! I can't believe it.

Now comes the fun part. Getting our house ready to sell, getting rid of 32 years of accumulated crap (we have lived here for 32 years), packing 32 years of accumulated other crap, and figuring out how to move said crap, a studio full of stained glass (I'm an artist and one of the many things that I do is stained glass), and three cars to Salem, Oregon! Yikes!

Congrats
Hold on to the glass with Ni, Cd, Pb, As. Portland's glass makers for the trade, are having problems in producing them because of air pollution in their manufacture.

I did hear that prices on some glass colors were going up, and that Spectrum Glass is closing down (how sad). I guess that I may have a treasure trove of stained glass sitting in my studio. :O)

Do you, by chance, know of any good stained glass wholesalers in Oregon? I've been spoiled for the 40+ years that I've been working in glass, because I have always been within half an hour of a Hollanders Glass wholesale warehouse.
