Hi. I am a 20 year old single mom of a 2 year old boy, and I am looking to meet new people in the area. I'd like to meet other moms to do activities with, and socialize. I'm not much into the party scene, but once in awhile like to go to a club or party. I'd rather go to the park with my son, or get a group of parents and kids to go to the zoo, or some other activity. I work during the week, and most of the mom groups I have found meet while I'm working. I'm free anytime after 6pm, and I like to spend my weekends with my son, and would also like to make some friends for myself as well.

Try www.meetup.com for your zip code. Salt Lake has about 4 pages of groups, you might find something you like. Also you can google "mommy groups salt lake" to see if there are any that meet when you can go. Good luck!

Thanks for the tips, I've definitely tried those two options, but haven't had much luck. As I mentioned, most of the mom groups I have found tend to meet on the weekdays, during work. I work from 9-6, so that doesn't work with me. I'd like to find a few people to hang out with after work on the weekdays, or anytime on the weekend. Also, I'm located in Ogden, definitely willing to travel a bit, as I'd love to have a social life. But, at the same time, don't want my entire life to be an hour away from me, if that make sense. Thought I might try this as an option as well. Plus, I'd be more into meeting one-on-one rather than a huge group at first, I'm out-going and friendly, but sometimes big groups are hard to break into, especially if everyone else already knows each other, and sometimes I can be a bit shy at first.

Create a group on meetup, there might be others looking for one like you are.
