Wow. Here's hoping you'll be very happy here. Please tell me that you are truly prepared for the fact that life here is going to be very, very different from what you're used to.

Yes @ katzpur I am fully ready to come there, and I'm looking forward to a nice quiet life.despite what everyone says about the Mormon faith and feeling like an outcast: I feel when you do things in life, you should do it because you want to do it.and worry less about hear say.sometimes you just have to find your way and roll with the punches..

Good luck with the culture shock. I hope UT is all you expect. But, frankly, having family there and having lived their myself for 13 years as a non-Morman, I truly have my doubts that it will be what you're expecting.

That said, the scenery is beautiful in most of the state. And, I truly hope you find what you're looking for.

You should be fine, then. Attitude is everything. Some people have what it takes to adjust to new surroundings; other's don't. It's really pretty much that simple.

It's not going to be a culture shock to me because I've been there 4 times already! I have no problems adjusting to life there.besides I'm coming there to start over.I'm not thinking negative about it or anything you know! Im not married with no hildren, I'm a single male who's going to enjoy my life.

I can agree with you about that, attitude is everything today.I'm a city boy looking to get out to get to some where that's entirely different..like in my previous post,I've been 4 times.and I really like it out that way...

O.K...the Hypocrisy Police are going to have to hand out summonses to some of you long time Utah board posters.

I shudder to think what response a poster would get if they posted:

"I'm tired of Utah and the people here"

Or even worse

"I'm tired of Utah and all the LDS"

Yet the welcome mat gets rolled out unconditionally with no more than a warning there may be some culture shock so long as the potentially offended people are from somewhere else....

Remember the couple that stop the farmer and say "Wer'e thinking of moving here, what are the people like"

Farmer says: "What are they like where you are now?"

Anyway, good luck on your move saltlakecityhereicome, I'm a New Yorker still toying with the idea of possibly heading out there myself.
