What are you doing this weekend? It's supposed to be sunny, but hot. We plan to take our pooch to get his stitches out & formally adopt him on Sat. Then, we are thinking of taking a hike north, Kaysville to take the Adams Canyon Trail & do some geocaching w/ the dogs along the way. & enjoy the waterfall at the end. =) Planning that for Saturday, but, maybe Sunday. Church Sunday morning, but, if we don't hike, that's about it. =) Or, we might hit some of those Sunday Farmers Markets. =)

What are you doing?

We are going Saturday morning to Alpine Loop/Stewart Falls for some hiking and cooling off. I think we are supposed to go to the fireworks in Provo later on Saturday (ugh).

My youngest is playing in a soccer tournament from tonight (8:20pm game start time) through Saturday. She will be playing in at least one game on Saturday, but could be upwards of three, depending on how the team does. We will see...they have to play up an age bracket.

Have you been there before? It's beautiful! My sister still has a pic of her in front of the falls as her facebook profile pic. lol

I hope our waterfall is pretty! I'm excited there are so many geocaches on the trail! Which is why I'm thinking we 'might' go Sunday, so the trail isn't as crowded. lol

Nope never been to Stewart Falls, so this will be a test run.

I did look up this Adams Canyon you are going on. According to the SL Trib, it might be impossible to see the waterfall if the creek is running too high.

Be safe!

I'll be haunting Bear Lake this weekend. Vacationers beware.

Is this the Stewart Falls above the Sundance Resort? I hiked up to it from the resort parking lot (I think the Alpine Loop road above the resort was not open for the season yet, it was mid May at the time). Yes, it was magnificent, thoroughly enjoyed it.

For anyone looking for a hike or bike activity for the weekend don't forget the Wasatch Mountain Club, plenty going on this weekend. Remember your difficulty rating however...

NTD...Not Too Difficult....
MOD...Moderate....
EXT...EXTREME...........

Enjoy...

Thanks for the warning! We are going to put it off until the fall when the water is down perhaps.

What other trails are good for dogs (or, moreover, that you can take dogs on lol) ?

Big excitement for my weekend: I bathed the dogs in the back yard today and will have the Sugar House fireworks almost in my backyard on Monday. The dogs hated it, BTW.
