I found this map posted in another state. Very interesting!

Interesting indeed ...
Knowing the *lay of the land*, I am not surprised about some areas, where there is no growth or a slight decline (like Eastern Oregon e.g.).

Looks like not many people like Nebraska or Kansas ???

That is surprising about Kansas. The small town my parents still live in is growing quite a bit. Tons of Governernment/military employee types as Kansas does not tax federal pensions......

OK Katy, I am a native Kansan too. Great Bend is my hometown and my folks are still there. I would not want to live there now but relish the carefree, safe and positive childhood I had. I miss the tornadoes and severe storms, hence majoring in Meteorology, harvest time and snow that is usually sideways!
Sorry about hijacking the thread to be nostalgic....

If you double click on the counties it will be broken down by census tract. I was looking for the most racially diverse spot in Salt Lake County.....

So far it's looking like the tract in Draper just west of I-15......

Ok, census tract 1256 in the Clearfield/Syracuse area beat it out. That's a relief. Military barracks beat the prison.

If it makes you feel any better, look at the stats on my home town area of NE PA, the largest-most white metro area in the US! Yes, the place where the Office takes place. That's what she said.
