Hello all. I'm going to be flying out to SLC tomorrow! This is a follow-up to my previous posts about relocating there in the near future. I hope the weather cooperates so I can get to see everything I want to see, which brings me to my next point. What kinds of things are happening this weekend that I should check out, does anyone have any recommendations of things I "must" see?

Thanks in advance

Dan

The only things I can think of are ice skating and the newly renovated Gallivan Center Ice Skating rink. Outdoors. $8 Adults includes skate rental. Christmas lights on at 5pm Friday. And the viewing the lights at Temple Square. Perhaps you could find more info here or here.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanks for the tips. I'm hoping to check out the different neighborhoods and get a feel for the nightlife or lack thereof not really concerned about the latter.

Well the weekend's come and gone. I had an awesome time. I just want to say all the people who say 'there's nothing in SLC' are just talking out of ignorance.
I absolutely loved the landscape, the weather, people... everything. I got to see the capitol building, went all around temple square, walked around downtown for a little and hung out at the gateway, drove up to park city a couple times and got to see some snow, also went skiing (for the record I didn't fall once!).
All in all it was an awesome trip. I just wish I'd had more time and that there were direct flights from FLL to SLC

If you would have stayed a week longer, you would have experienced Florida Hurricane weather !!!

Usually true for a lot of skiers.
They do not fall once, but more than twice as a rule ...
