I am currently a single 24 year old male from CA that is moving out to Hill AFB for civilian work. I'm stoked for the outdoors around Utah. When I'm not working, I spend most of my life skiing, mtb, climbing and skydiving. I'm not a huge night life person, but I do enjoy having drinks with people around my age. I'm torn between living up near Ogden (Layton maybe?) or going further south to SLC area. Any opinions?

SLC proper may be the best fit. Commute not to bad and most of the "areas" north of SLC are pretty family heavy....

Part's of Ogden aren't bad to live and Layton area is nice. Downtown Salt Lake is definitely more liberal and has a pretty good nightlife that you can't find in other parts of the valley. And like she said the commute from downtown to Hill AFB is only about 30-40 minutes.
