I'm a single 24 year old hispanic guy thinking about moving here from california. I'm non LDS, I'm pretty liberal as far as politics go, and just wondering if i would fit in here. Im just wondering if people in SLC are accepting of hispanics, sorry if this is an ignorant question.

There are tons of hispanics here in Salt Lake City (including mi esposo!). You'll do fine here.

Some times I think they are the majority here! And many are Catholic, thriving church communities.

There is a huge latino community here. You will fit in just fine, and will be accepted.

Hispanic or not does not matter to me. It depends on what you will do here or your behavior.

If you're bilingual, you'll have a great time in SLC. There are tons of Latin markets and areas for activities such as Latin dancing. But you may have some problems in the rest of the valley outside of downtown Salt Lake City with your liberal views. The area outside downtown SLC is very very conservative. So if you have any problems at all it would be because of political views...but even that would be very rare. Most people in SLC are very very friendly and warm.

Very liberal here....and live in Sandy.

PFTHTHTHTHTH!

Seriously - you will do fine here. We moved from Southern California...and have other liberal neighbors who did the same.

Welcome.

Salt Lake City is over 20% Hispanic. I'm pretty sure you'll be fine.

Default Hispanics in Salt Lake City

I am possibly moving to Utah soon do to a job relocation. I have read a lot about Utah and the religion concerns me so I would like to move to Salt Lake City but in a neighborhood with lots of Hispanics hopefully nonmormon. I am not anti but would like to fit in being agnostic. Any suggestions? If you have any names of apartments or 3 bedrooms apts, condos, or homes in a good area please let me know.
