I went to the Urban Flea Market today - what a fun place! It is held the 2nd Sunday of the month through - I think - October. It is on the northeast corner of 400 South and State St, in the Questar parking lot. Entrance is on 400 South and parking is free for flea market customers.

Vintage everything under the sun! Clothes, costume jewelry, toys, cookware, military surplus, household stuff, furniture, prints, paintings, books, CDs, and on and on. There is a stand selling cold drinks like colas and ice tea and free water. Bring a hat as there is no shade except under a vendor's tent.

I got an old iron coat rack ($4), a lead crystal large vase ($8), some fossilized polished sea creatures for the grandkids (3 for $5), vintage straw hat ($5), a new handmade dichroic glass pendant ($5). You can see the prices are quite reasonable!

I have not been myself, but I have been told the Sunday Farmer's Market at Wheeler's Farm is nice. Wheeler's Farm is an historic farm down in the valley, fun to visit when it is open. This one is not as big as the downtown farmer's market on Sat. but it is bigger than the Sugar House farmer's market.
