I've gotten mixed reviews on West Jordan. Should I look for houses to rent in that area or skip it? We'd like a 4 bed/3 bath in an area with good schools.

We looked there when we first looked here, it is not bad but just not what we wanted. We ended up one city lower in South Jordan (Daybreak Community). The schools are great, tons for kids to do, plenty of rentals (one across the yard from us) since a lot of homes were built right at the peak, so people can't sell so they rent them out.

South Jordan, specifically Daybreak, is where our focus has been! My husband and I are IN LOVE with everything we've learned about Daybreak and pray that something within our budget will be available to rent when we get there!

Daybreak is beautiful. There may be some parts of West Jordan that are nice, but on the whole, South Jordan would be better -- Daybreak in particular.
