Hey Guys...

I am thinking of buying a loft in downtown SLC, but the HOA fees are pretty steep.

I wanted to get some current averages for the following utilities per month (let's say in a house around the Liberty Park area):

Thanks so much,

I live in Taylorsville which is about 45 blocks south of downtown. My averages for gas, electric, water & sewer have been about $100-$110/mo for the past 6 years. I have a 1500 sq ft home with a gas furnace, central a/c and a small lot. Last year, my gas bills averaged $43/mo and my power $38/mo.

Garbage for SL County is $153/yr or $12.75/mo. SL City rates are here, but I would guess your HOA fee most likely will cover garbage....and perhaps water & sewer. SL City also has a stormwater fee of $4.24 mo & a Street Light fee of $3.73 per month....again, I bet those would be part or your HOA fee. Do you know what (if any) utilities/fees your HOA covers?

I don't have internet so someone else will have to chime-in on that one. Cable has too many variables to quote w/o you providing more info. Look here for Comcast rates and see if you can find something that suits your needs. There are other internet service providers around this area.

Not to hijack, but I would also be interested to know the averages others have experienced in Park City for utilities + cable (basic digital) + internet. Thank you.

I only know internet cost. I paid $35 a year through Centurylink for 7mbps. I'm now up to $40 for the same speed.
