Deer Valley & Park City what are the snow ski passes like? The costs? Thinking about moving to Deer Valley.

Prices and deals change frequently. If I were you I'd google park city or Deer Valley. They both have websites with the lastest info.

I had a Gold Pass at Deer Valley during the 07-08 season. It was $1800...a "signing bonus" from my employer Go to the Deer Valley web page and see what the offers are but act quickly as prices go up the closer it gets to opening day which is 12/7 this year.
Have no idea about passes at PCMR but their web page will have the info too...the sooner the cheaper for all Utah resorts.
If you are serious about moving to the area, skip DV and settle in Park City to save about 200k...

Heavens ... that is NOT pocket money !

Then to think that we, when the kids were younger (mid 80's), could just load them up in our car, drive 15 minutes around the mountain, buy a day pass for them for about the equivalent of 5 US Dollars, and they could ski all day. Then just take the lift all the way up again when done, and ski down home on the back side of the mountain ...
Oh the good old days !

Yeah, seems very expensive. the "gold" part must have great value. This season the combined Altabird passes were just $1400 or $1500 and that includes a bunch of daypasses to lots of other places.

Now that Vail has joined in the Utah Reindeer Games with some excellent pricing, other Utah resorts are scrambling to have a wee bit more "perceived value".
And yes the DV Gold Pass was a wonderful thing, no black out dates and it was a super snowy season too.
I can only hope for snow to come early and often this season too!

But then what happened to your car? You left it on the other side of the mountain...

What about The Canyons?

Now that they were purchased by Vail Resorts they have by far the cheapest season pass in the PC area with the Epic Pass. $500 gets you unlimited not only at the Canyons, but all other Vail resorts as well (Vail, Breck, Heavenly, and a bunch of others).
