I'm moving to Utah before the end of December, and I am looking for a decently priced apartment that allows pets (I have a small cat). I will be attending SLCC so I would like my apartment to be as close to campus as possible. As far as finances go, I have about $20,000 in the bank with another $25,000 on the way from an inheritance. However, I do not want to blow through a lot of the money for obvious reasons. I have been looking at some apartments and the ones that allow pets are really expensive ($650+ not including utilities or pet fees). If you know of any apartments that are somewhat nice, regardless of size, and cost about $650-$700 altogether (with utilities and pet fees) please let me know. Thank you.

Well, depending on who you ask, some areas of Taylorsville could be meh...but I did find this one
Rentler Listing | ksl.com That one was only $545/month with a $35.00 pet fee.

You can also search the ads on KSL.com Just click Homes on the upper right hand side and type in Taylorsville, UT and your rent parameters.

Good luck and welcome to UT!

FYI, in your search, Taylorsville zip codes closest to SLCC are 84123, 84129 & 84119.

If you're trying to save money, maybe you could find a room to rent for 6 months until you decide where you'd like to live, how traffic flows around campus and whatever other criteria you're interested in. Traffic east of 4700 South at Interstate 215 can be a bear with all the college students driving to get to campus. What I'm trying to say is consider how easily you can get to/from campus regardless of how cheap the apartment is or how close it is. Do you have a car?
