Hi, can anyone tell me if the effects from pollution when there's an inversion affect the area around the Cedar Hills Golf Club? Or is it high enough, and back far enough that the pollution in the air is not as bad? Thanks!

The bench that Cedar Hills golf course and Cedar Hills proper sit on is only 183 feet higher in elevation than Orem. That's not enough to get it out of the pollution that occurs.

Hi Bill, Thanks for the reply. Would you say that all of Cedar Hills is at the same elevation?

No. It's a Wasatch Front bench city (on an ancient shelf/beach left behind from Lake Bonneville). As such, it slopes toward The Valley floor. Cedar Hill's East side is higher than the West side. The city and its golf course sit right about in the center of the bench as far as elevation goes.

You are welcome.

We're doing pretty good concerning pollution these past few weeks. A series of storms have come through the area every 3 or 4 days. That keeps the air in Wasatch Front cities much cleaner. This Western drought has been tough because we rely upon regular storms to scrub out the valleys. Little snow/rain means dirtier air. If we don't get a storm about once a week the gunk builds up.
