I'm in school in KS for this field. Was sort of interested in SLC and want to know if there are any job openings or companies who do cnc machining? Thank you.

Of all the maufacturing jobs of all the states of all the nation, why Utah? There are no unions and a skilled CNC operator, I know one, will make $15-20/hr. There often is no published pay progression. Job security is pretty much said in a very common document most empolyees sign when getting hired. "The employee has the right to leave the job at any time and by that token employer has the right to terminate the employee with or without cause at any time".
There are much better opportunities elsewhere. I, for one, live in Southwest Utah but commute to Vegas.

Mainly because I live in Kansas where there are tornadoes and bad weather rather often. Just tired of it. I would consider jobs out of Utah...suggestions? Keep in mind, I have a son as well.
