Any suggestions on a place to go get some nature? Hahah, I spent all my life in Montana, living in the woods until 6 years ago I moved to SAN ANTONIO TX (long story). Anyway, as you would guess, I am starved for what I would call nature.

Next week I will be in SLC for work and ill have most of Wednesday to kill before I have to be at the airport (3pm or so) . I am hoping there is a close by nature trail, or some place I can drive to and take a walk in the woods, breath some mountain air, get away from people.. you get the idea.

Any input?

Also I am a food person and always looking for unique local food that cant be missed.. Suggestions?

For beautiful scenery and nature I'd try Big or Little Cottonwood Canyons. Personally I like Big better. There is a lake called Silver lake at the top of Big Cottonwood with a big boardwalk around it and also a couple of hikes of it that go even higher up the mountain. Very beautiful. Millcreek Canyon is also a nice one although there is a small fee which there's not to drive up the other two. All are within fairly short driving distance too.
