So I am traveling to SLC for a little snowboarding. I was wondering what your policies are regarding alcohol beverages. Can I get them at the ski resorts? What about in SLC itself?

Yes. They serve alcohol at most restaurants. Is it still a law that you can't have more than one drink in front of you? "Bars" are "private" and you have to buy a membership (I think like $5 for one day, $25 for a year???). Liquor stores are closed on holidays and Sun. And beer has a lower alcohol content in Utah (must be the altitude?).

Have fun!

thanks.

Not really interested in beer, I am more into the good stuff. I don't drink much, but I do like a drink here and there. Specially on vacation.

You can only get 3.2 beer anywhere besides the liquor store. No wine or spirits are sold outside the liquor store. You can get some mixed drinks and high point beer, and wine at restaurants provided you order something to eat also. Otherwise you have to go to a club/bar and most of them are supposed to put you on a list, take anywhere between 2 and 10 bucks from you, and give you a "temporary" membership. there are a few places in SLC that are run like normal "bars" but they're not common and i believe only frequented by locals. "Bars" DO exist in slc, believe it or not, although i think they're just not following the "rules" and "getting away with it".
