Hello!

My family and I are moving to the Ogden area from Oklahoma this summer for my job at HAFB and my significant other is in the restaurant industry. He is going to be looking for management positions in fine dining and full service restaurants and I've made a pretty good sized list of what I've found on the internet, but I was thinking there might be some places that all of you could clue me in about that I may have missed. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Where have you found? La Caille is very *ahem* upscale and that is located on the east side of Salt Lake. Any of the Gastronomy restaurants, Market Street Grill, Market Street Broiler, ect. I will try and think of some more.

Is your SO a chef too, or does he only manage?

No, he is only a chef in my kitchen...... and that's only when I hand over the cooking reins.....lol He would be a front end manager and should have over a year of management experience by the time we arrive. I thought that The Five Alls looked like a kind of neat place. What do you think about that one?

Andrew loves to cook anything Mexican, and anything with chicken. I'm the one that is the baking and casserole queen....lol I would just love it if he would open a restaurant one day and we could use our recipes etc, but that's a long time off......

I've heard La Caille is horrible for the price they charge.

I have never been...could never afford it. I have heard the same thing about it being overpriced though.

I went there for a drug-rep dinner and was not impressed. However, I do admit that serving 25 people at once, the same 2 choices, is difficult. I was really offended, as an old-time feminist, by the costumes of the female servers. Lean over too far and a boob might pop out.

I wouldn't use the word, "horrible," but they are definitely overpriced.
