Thanks for letting me know about the "search this forum" feature; it was extremely helpful! I don't think West Valley City is for us. I found some other areas that I will look into. We will be renting for a while until we get to know the area better. We want our target price to be less than $800 if possible. I am finding out it will be hard to find a 2 bedroom place with a yard in that range, but
I am still looking. Since we will be renting we will be able to move to another area or neighborhood if it doesn't work for us. Do you have a classified newspaper with rental listings that I can look up on the internet?

Try ksl.com - Utah News, Sports, Weather and Classifieds
Click the classified link, then homes and you can narrow it down to rentals in your price range.
Great, helpful website!

I am not sure if you would be interested in living in Tooele County (we have several car dealerships out here), but there are several 2 bedroom, 1 bath homes with a yard for rent right around 600-650 a month.
Our local paper is www.tooeletranscript.com

Nobody is going to ask your husband's religion before buying a car from him. Trust me.

While I fully agree, your religion will not become a topic during a sale, there is little doubt that your being a "member" would enhance your sales numbers. Like it or not (and it's not really disputable) church members are fairly clanish when it comes to who they do business with. If I were say in insurance, or a physician, dentist, loan officer etc, there is little doubt that those in a ward one were a member of would contact you when dealing with that kind of business. It's good for them, perhaps not as good for a non member. This doesn't mean a good salesman can't survive by any means. Talent is talent and honesty shines through. Unlike say the shark like experience you'll get when walking into some of the dealers near SouthTowne, where you feel like a piece of meat being thrown to the sharks at feeding time. There is NO honesty to be found there for sure. Just interview the dealers like they are interviewing you and you'll have no issues....it DOES work both ways.....
