My boyfriend and I will be relocating to SLC in August from upstate NY. We are looking for a place to live, but would like some assistance in finding an apartment with the type of amenities that we are looking for; it's a bit of a challenge since we both live on the East coast. Does anyone know of any relocation agencies or realty agents that specialize in helping people find housing, specifically apartments in the Salt Lake City area? We would greately appreciate any help that is available.

Default apartments

try Apartments.com
Utah Property Management Companies, Home Rentals, Homes for Rent in Salt Lake County, Ogen, Layton, Weber County, Utah County Utah. (http://www.rentlist.com/rent-homes/utah.shtml - broken link)

Also, you can just go a google search for apartments in Utah.
You may want to consider renting a home for the same price that an apartment may cost you, you can get a private home.
I am from the East Coast as well, New Jersey. My husband and I have just moved out here a few weeks ago. So far so good. The view is just amazing!!!

You're from my neck of the woods, so I know you know how expensive homes are in NY/NJ/PA. I've been out here on assignment for almost three years and the real estate market here is very good. The median cost for a 3/4 bedroom home north of the city is $175,000.00. I come from a town where the average home is $400,000.00, so this is heaven in comparison. Renting is expensive in my opinion, you could have a lower mortgage payment than a rent payment. I don't know very much about SLC....seems badly zoned, houses and businesses in close proximity to each other. I wouldn't want to live next to my favorite restaurant, but it seems like there is no clear distinction between residential and commercial zoning.

Prices are very reasonable here if you look hard enough.
