I am considering living next to Traxx, but how early and how late do these things run?

There's a few new Trax lines under construction, as well as a commuter rail between SLC and Provo, but neither will be finished until 2012. There's currently 3 operating Trax lines, and the routes extend from Sandy to SLC.

Trax is super convenient if you live close to a stop. I have friends who live in Sandy and commute via Trax daily. One brings his bike on board so he can ride to work.

Utah as a whole is very Conservative. It is correct that Salt Lake City has become quite liberal. There are areas that are still conservative and practicing family values with a concetrated mormon community. Try Herriman, Bluffdale, Riverton, South Jordan. They are on the outskirts of Salt Lake City a little more pricey but worth it.
