Has anyone had experience with the Montessori School International San Antonio located at Wurzbach. Any comments good or bad about this school are appreciated. I have a 3 year old and considering enrolling him in there. Thanks.

Took my kid there for a tour years ago. It was very rigid. Not warm and nurturing at all. I decided against the place. Maybe it's changed, I don't know.

May I suggest St. Thomas Episcopal school? Very warm, loving teachers. Many of them have taught for over 15 years. There are plenty of good private and public schools. We really loved the 3 year old program at St. Thomas. Its at the corner of 1604 and 281. They still have some room in the 3 year old class as of May, but I do know they fill up. The 4 year old class almost had a waiting list and so they opened up a new 4 year old class. They are also opening up a 2 year old class this year. You do not have to be Episcopalian to attend. Really and truly, give them a call and take a tour.

I second Disneyland's suggestion...both my kids attended STES...one from age 2 all the way through 5th grade, the other age 9 months (when they still took them that young) through 4 year olds.

If you're in the Medical Center area look into Trinity Methodist preschool near Newcome and Merkens. That's where I decided on after the tour of Montessori....

I will highly recommend Pinnacle Montessori Academy off Bulverde Road, San Antonio, TX.
I like them very much. Teachers are very friendly and Montessori trained. My child is learning a lot and very happy to go to school every day.
The school is highly secured and monitored. You need to key in the code (separate for each parents) to enter the school. They have a big screen TV in the front office and you can watch your child from there. They serve hot lunch. They have a walking trail behind their school. Children can go and explore during recess time.

I still highly recommend St. Thomas Episcopal School. My oldest applied to various schools for middle school and needed to take the ISEE and score in the high nines and eight as stanine scores. It may be small but the academics are atrong and the classes are small. Sure, the kids will have their personal interactions, but my child's relationships there (good And/or bad) shaped her.

I also strongly recommend St Thomas Episcopal School - both of my kiddos went there for preschool and it was the warmest and best nurturing environment.
