I'll move to San Antonio in a month or so. I'm going to buy some furniture from local BigLots store (2 queen size beds and maybe mattresses, 2 chests, 1 nightstand, 1 tv stand, 1 sofa, 1 love seat, 1 coffee table, 1 dinning sets).
It's about 3 miles from the store to my new apartment. The BigLots staff said there is an external company that's responsible for the delivery, and she has no idea about the cost.
I'm wondering anyone here has a rough idea about how much it may cost for such a delivery?
Thanks!

Usually, when you buy something from a "big box" type store that has its own delivery service, I would say you could expect delivery charges to be in the $50-$75 range.

If the price they quote you doesn't fit your budget, and you can't get anyone to do it for less, you could always rent a regular pickup truck from U-Haul for $19.95/day + $0.59 per mile. Big Lots employees will probably load the furniture for you, but you would probably need to find a helper at your end to help unload and carry in the stuff. Maybe another resident at the apartment complex could help?
