I don't know whether there is a thread for this area or not, or if there is even interest, but I thought I'd start it just the same.

I just was wondering if anyone knows what is going in on the east side of 151 in between Military Dr. and Westover Hills? There is a brand new building that looks like either a restaurant or a clinic of some kind.

Also, I noticed that Ryland is also building alongside Toll Brothers in the new Aviara. Have not driven in there lately to see if they are actually building--but I did notice the 2nd entrance off of Westover Hills has been spruced up quite a bit with landscaping.

We have heard from our HOA president that Los Barrios is going to build pretty much next to the entrance to our neighborhood at Westover Forest, which is just past Hunt Lane off of Westover Hills.

I also saw the sign up for Chunky's at 151 where The Stockyards Saloon was--can't wait for that!

A Los Barrios would be awesome if they build one with a great outdoor patio like the one on Redland Road! WE need some outdoor patio dining over here!

Is that over by Rudy's? ( directionally challenged here...) if it is, then I heard that it's going to be a Physical therapy office. I go over to the San Antonio Ortho at Westover Hills Medical building now and the lady says it's a friend of her's that opening there.

I think so, Camper--just south of Westover Hills Blvd--it's facing the feeder/frontage road, set back a bit, and it sort of looks like it could be a restaurant but I don't think it's a restaurant.

texasgirl1, I am excited too, it would be nice if they had the kids area like on Redland. There's so many trees on the lot that it would be a really prime spot to have a nice shaded outdoor area. I personally would be thrilled--great Tex-Mex within walking distance? I think we hit the jackpot, LOL!!

I thought that building was supposed to be an allergy/immunology practice. If it is, the SA Business Journal said that the practice is going to sublease part of the space to a full-time research center.
I agree with you about Los Barrios, as I am just down the road in Creekside. Thank heaven that Hunt/Westover Hills intersection is almost done!

Don't you just how how the story grows about what all it will be. I'm not saying mine has any more creditability than the others, just repeating what I heard. Then again, we could be talking about different locations.

Chunky's had a soft opening today. I wish we could have gone, but we were in Fredericksburg.

The intersection/lane expansion at Hunt Lane and Westover Hills is COMPLETE! YAY!!

I might drive around in Aviara tomorrow to take some pics.
