Our Realtor increased the selling price of the home $5000.00 (which will cover their closing costs) and the home will sell for 100% of the asking price.
You should be aware that the appraiser will get a copy of the sales contract and if there's an obvious mark up of the sales price to cover the buyer's closing costs, there could be some roadblocks.

This is why I am not getting overly excited. I'm not too versed when it comes to selling a home so to be honest with you this seems too good to be true. Our home is just under 2000 square feet, open floor plan, six nice trees.. all oaks, nice landscaping, lots of tile (floors), fireplace, 3 bed, 2 bath, 2 car garage, etc.
My Wife will scrutinize everything before any contract is signed Wednesday afternoon.

Thank you. I'll keep you informed as to the final outcome. I never thought we would move and the thought of it makes me cringe. But we have to keep our our spouses happy.

We are looking at Kallison Ranch, Alamo Ranch, and Trophy Ridge. I would like to stay in the Loop 1604 Culebra / Potranco area since everything is so darn close. All of these areas have many nice homes ready to move into.

I am happy for you, Wellguy. Nothing is moving in our part of WC. If we were ever so lucky to sell this place, I would move as far away from this side of town as possible, though. We would head to Lincoln Heights or Alamo Heights.

Wellguy- Congrats on "getting the heck out"! I know you're fairly close to retirement age (if memory serves me correctly), so it wouldn't make sense to leave SA in the dust at this point. Are you planning on moving to a nicer city once you finally hang your tools up?
BTW- Retirement is wonderful, only we're traveling even more now....all pleasure trips though.
