Does anyone know if they offer that type of combo in San Antonio? How much does it usually cost for all 3? ( cable with no movie channels, just mtv, vhi, the basics, no long distance on the house phone)

Default TWC Cable Prices

Here is an approximate monthly price breakdown for Time Warner Cable:

Basic Cable (up to channel 99..no movies...not digital): $58
Internet (nice high speed): $30 (for first six months and then gradually goes up to $44 in a few months after the first six).
Phone service through TWC: $30 (includes long distance...must have HS Internet for VOIP).

I believe you can get a package deal of all three but don't know the price (go to WWW.TWC.COM) (broken link).

I'd stay away from Time Warner if I where you.

We pay about $150/month (TWC) for just the basic combo.

I hate Time Warner; I am currently embroiled in an altercation with them concerning my Road Runner Turbo, which is really terrific when it works, but spends most of the time coming in and out of connectivity in waves. My current cycle is that I call and yell, they reset the modem remotely, the connectivity improve and then gets progressively worse to the point that I have to unplug and replug the modem in five and six times a day, I get angry and call them to reset it remotely...rinse, repeat.

I'd love to switch, but neither Grande nor U-verse are available in the tri-cities. I am particularly annoyed about Grande, as I distinctly remember their trucks being around the Olmos Park and Alamo Heights areas for months upon months laying cable but yet you can only get Grande service way down on the mediocre sections of Austin Hwy.

I have AT&T U-verse.

U-verse (U400 HD whole home DVR)
U-verse Broadband Pro (3Mbps up/1.0Mbps down)
AT&T 2 line cell phone plan (Iphone dataplan)

It all comes on one AT&T bill and I am very happy with the service.

Depending on what VOD movies I enjoy each month, my bill runs about $280/month
