I am thrilled to announce that I have accepted a position at WCNC (NBC) in Charlotte, NC as the new Weekend Evening Anchor.

While I am sad to leave my San Antonio family, I am extremely excited about my future back home in the Carolinas.

boo. After Kristina Guerrero left GDSA she was the only reason I semi liked that show. Don't get me wrong. I'm afan of Bridgette Smith's but there's just something about her bubbly personality that's just a tad too much for a 9am show. Maybe like 11 or 12.

"The Star that Burns the Brightest, Burns the Briefest."

Either way...she will be missed, but I guess she has been here 3 years already and I am sure her contract is up. I wish her well.

Kellie used to be my favorite, until Isis Romero showed up....so I am not too heart broken.

Why is there so much interest in newscasters in this forum? It seems like there is a new thread about some reporter weekly. I'm just curious as to why? I don't think I even pay enough attention to whose reporting the news to even recognize them if I ran into one of them on the street - I don't even pay attention to their names.

My guess... many people like celebrities and most people watch TV. Since we're not in Hollywood and it's not basketball season, newscasters are the most visible celebrities in town.

Not being from here, I'm more amazed at the following that people like Ara Cely and Vanessa Ballou, whose main claim to fame is commercials, have.

Tejeda's most recent job is as an account executive for PR firm Dublin & Associates in San Antonio. However, from 2005 to 2007, she graced local TV as a general assignments reporter for WOAI.
