We live in Cibolo and our dogs are being eaten alive by ticks. We have tried nematodes, diatemacious earth and the dogs get a new tube of advantix put on them every month. What gives? I guess we need to use nasty chemicals. We called a few places. Most wouldnt do our yard. We have an acre and a half. The one place who said they would do it wanted to charge us $300
Do you have any tips or know a place that would do it for cheaper?
Thanks a bunch )

Nasty Chemicals? There are many I'm thankful for. Try Sevin dust 5% or 10% all over yard and bedding. !0% is better of course but pricey stuff these days. Powder the dogs with it also. It's the same ingredient as most Flea powders. I don't think lime really works but you could try it. If your in deer country good luck. Try lime on the less traveled areas it's much cheaper than Sevin.

Frontline Plus protects against the ticks...it really does work, too. Not sure if they have an Advantage with that tick protection or not.
