I saw a BUNCH of motorcycles Saturday (Aug 28) on Culebra, outside 1604. I am just wondering what was going on.
I saw a batch of about 300 motorcycles with police escort and thought it was a funeral procession. About a 1/2 mile behind them were even more. My daughter counted about 150 of them and then I had to make a left turn, but you could see them as far as the eye could see on Culebra.
I would bet there were 1000 bikers or more headed out of SA, west on Culebra. Anyone know?

Could this have been the San Antonio Ride for the Troops Event?

Here is the route the riders took:

And here is the main page for their event:

Looks like it was a well attended event for a GREAT cause! Wish I had been out that way with my camera

We saw that too! The Harley Davidson store on Culebra had a full parking lot. Very cool!
