#23 vs #38 - I totally agree with it!

Awesome - my commute avoids all those areas except for #48 and I'm going the reverse direction from everyone anyway.

This TxDOT list is limited to roads and highways that TxDOT is responsible for maintaining. [note] this assumption is wrong, see #11 below [/note]

Stone Oak Parkway is a city street, maintained by the city.

Our traffic could be better if the Express-News would get their Sunday paper pushers OUT OF THE DAMN ROAD! It's against the law for them to be in the street when traffic is moving. But they still do it.

Now it makes sense why Fredericksburg Road was included and Bandera Road was not... though I thought Bandera was State Highway 16?

What irks me is that the article mentions the need for mass transit, and yet the state pulled funds from the BRT route down Fredericksburg Road which would have allowed dedicated bus lanes (moving the buses out of the car lanes).

There is nowhere in the article that says the study was limited on roads that TXDOT maintains, unless I miss it, can you please quote that it is indeed limited to roads they maintain? If its true but is implied, Express News should put an erratum to correct the article and explicitly say only TXDOT roads.

My understanding is, TXDOT made the study for the whole state, used a private company for the study, and its is througout the day not just rush hours... those are the limitations/exclusions of the study that I can read on the article..

Does anyone know if Stone Oak Parkway maintenance is paid for by the city or the Stone Oak POA?

I would think/expect that the city would be responsible since it is not a TxDot road, the area has been annexed, and it is not in a gated community. I would think the POA would be responsible for maintenance of the medians, landscaping, etc., but not the road itself.

Of course, my logic doesn't always match up with truth.

Yeah Bandera Rd / SR 16 is a cluster.... kinda surprised that one isn't on there either.
