Today was wild!

I was at the SuperWalmart on Jones-Maltsberger and the power went out for about 30 seconds. And then it went off on for a split-second a few more times when I was there. This was around 1:45 to 2:15 p.m.

Little did I know that this was the exact time that the center of the "eyewall" (this is used more to describe hurricanes rather than tropical storms) was right above San Antonio. The airport recorded a 60mph gust!

Looks like the landline at my house succumbed to the storm. AT&T repair service is supposed to look at it Monday, 09/13. What would we do without cell phones?

2. Yield sign is really just a triangle stop sign, so be prepared to stop.
3. The left lane is just another lane for cruising at or below the speed limit.
4. And most all San Antonians can walk and chew gum, but drive and talk on the phone? There are many drivers talking on the phone and not paying attention to their speed or lane choice. (I refer you back to points #1 and #3)

5. Sorry for the thread hijack

Woooo Hoooo!!! San Antonio got some rain today!!!!
Yield signs, oh you mean the road art that nobody pays attention to in San Antonio? And what are stop signs?

The typical attitude here about those funny Yield Signs is that they must pertain to the other driver, despite the fact that the sign is in their lane. And if you're entering a major highway, don't worry about yielding to traffic - surely someone will let you in. You may drive a few miles on the shoulder, but someone will eventually yield. Not only that, if you really stop because no one yields, you'll probably be run over by an equally astute individual behind you.

Nice rain that moved through way to quickly.

Yeah it's raining like crazy over here. Lightning just struck really close too - somewhere very near Bitters / Huebner I'm guessing.

This is all really interesting! This storm was supposed to hit the RGV, and we were expected to get massive rain and winds, but we got nothing! I was wondering where it all went! I hope everyone is safe up there!
