We went to Wurstfest today. I made the same mistake I made when I went 5 years ago. When you're used to spicy chorizo and Johnsonville bratwurst, authentic German bratwurst is boring!

The line for the potato pancakes was crazy long. Are they really that good?

Did anyone go last night and could tell me what the traffic was like at closing? My daughter was babysitting for someone last night who was extremely late getting back home. Their excuse was the traffic, but I don't really believe them.

I saw the line too but was in no mood for pancakes in the afternoon, I did however enjoyed the beer, blossom onion, sausage kabobs, and ribs. This being my first time at this event I have to say I was not impressed at all, not really much to see or do other than having a few drinks. Kids were so dissapointed with the rides and my thirteen year old just wanted to shoot me, his actual quote was, "yes this is the worst-fest" sorry but will not be attending this even ever again.

I remember going as a kid, and I don't think it's a very kid-centric event. It's a celebration of sausage. I remember the drunk man falling into the chilly water. They have some excellent food and beer.
