The south side is certainly more interesting than the north side. I live near wonderland mall but work on the south side. If I had the opportunity to move to the south side to be closer to work, I would be fine with it. Unfortunatly it is unfeasible for me to do that for other reasons right now.

I think that there are many northsiders that need to spend more time on the south side before being so quick to bash the area.

Should've told him you appreciate knowing that people live in SO, that way you know they're not he brightest bulb in the ceiling fan... Like this one woman at a place I used to work. She said she hates traffic, so that's why she chose SO when she moved here from Maryland. Everybody just looked at each other and we all knew that this was not the person to go to for anything... turns out we were absolutely right. So yeah, it's good to know where people are from. Gives you some insight into what makes them tick.

And for a lot of the posts in here.. there is no hispanic or Mexican race. So many people saying they're "white" and then talking about the Mexicans that live here. That's about ignorant as hell.. but once again provides some insight into what exactly we're dealing with.

okaaaay, so just so we're all up to date....People in Stone Oak are all rich, snobbish, drive gas guzzlers, live in traffic and are now, apparently, stupid to boot. Thanks once again for the "insight" RD.

sigh....

especially love how the Stone Oak generalizations are mixed in with all this talk about how certain posters don't discriminate. I is stupid being that I live up here in.....oh yea, stone oaky, but I's believe they call that ironic.
Don't you think. A little toooo ironic...It's like raaaainn on your wedding day....

Went to the coolest little bar last night. Soho. Not to far from Dick's Last Resort. By a hotel, can't remember the hotel's name. The drinks were very very tasty.

Believe me, I am not jealous of the fruit in the SO tree.

That tree wasn't properly pruned and cared for.

I live in Canyon Springs (behind Stone Oak) and I can say I love it. I love having everything close by and in the past few years we have gotten some great places/restaurants. My husband and I are by no means rich in any sense of the word. I can say we live comfortably in our track house that we built six years ago. Our neighbors are all just like us. Hard working people that enjoy family and friends and the convenience of having so many great places that are convenient for us to get to. I have nothing bad to say about any other part of town because I have never lived there so give an opinion on this ... I have been here for seven years and am originally from Maryland (not the Marylander that was talked about in the previous post though.)

Hope everyone has a nice and pleasant day and hey ... how about everyone talk about the good things about where they live and not bash where others choose to live. We all make this choice on our own for one reason or another.
