Rumor is that an HEB Plus is going in somewhere between Encino and Stone Oak. Could that be going in at Evans?

The HEB plus was supposed to be on the NW corner of 281 and Evans.

There is a sign for the Chase Bank - just wondering about the rest of the retail center. It's been delayed, because the sign says Fall 2006!

I feel like we are going to be mini-strip malled (mauled - lol!) to death! They are popping up everywhere. Too bad about the Edward's Aquifer because we could really use a gas station in our neck of the woods.

That means they will be few and far between. You will find gas stations over the aquifer but due to environmental restrictions and the high cost of building over an aquifer - they are rare.

I've been searching all over for more information about this. I've been told they won't be on the Recharge Zone -that's why Costco doesn't have one at 1604/281. Existing gas stations are fine, but no new ones.

I'd like to see the actual guidelines, I keep coming across proposals by various Save our Aquifer groups but not sure what has been legislated?

Not necessarily true. There is a relatively new one at Marshall Road and 281. The restrictions and costs are very high - but it can be done.

Can you imagine the lines at the gas station at 281 at Marshall when the high school and shopping center open
