We need to buy just a simple queen sized metal bed frame. I can order one from Amazon for about $70 including shipping and taxes. Does anyone know who might carry these locally in San Antonio for about the same price so we don't have to order?

Thanks!

Most mattress/bedding stores carry them, we paid about that much for one about a year or so ago...

Cheers! M2

If you are talking about the metal bed frames that don't include a headboard, and basically just hold the mattress and foundation, just about any local mattress retailer that stocks product locally should have something like that.

In fact, when I last bought a mattress a few years ago, I went to Mattress Firm, and asked them about a low-profile metal bed frame, since the new mattress set was significantly higher than the old set. Yes, they said they had those in stock locally, and I picked up the mattress set, along with the bed frame at their local warehouse.

Most of the mattress stores don't have much more than floor models of anything in their retail stores. You just go to the store to make your purchase, then have it delivered, or they will send you to their local warehouse to pick up your purchase if you want it "now", and don't want to pay delivery fees.

...and don't forget the thrift stores. They're a hot item, but come in frequently. They're $18 when we've got them.

I just got one at Salvation Army for $20.00. They had more. The store at S. Flores and Alamo. I would check around at Goodwill and other thrift stores. Why buy new when used is just the same thing with dust on it?

Sam's has them really cheap, and Billy Bob's Beds on Tezel ( NW side ) has them, too.

I got them for about $30 brand new at two different places. I think I got them one time at Texas Gallery Furniture on Walzem and another time at Furniture Factory Warehouse on 281. Or was that Mattress Firm on 281? It was extremely easy to put together because it didn't require any measuring or a whole bunch of screwing. I've had mine for a few years now and it's still holding up. I think any of the ghetto furniture or mattress stores near Walzem and IH-35 will have them cheap.
