I can't afford them and if I had the money, I would just build my own electric car like many people have done.

I just don't like the argument about "Electrical cars are not as eco-friendly as people claim"
As if there's never been oil pollution, and add to that the "evil" people that we are giving our money when we buy gasoline.

In case that you are wondering, first I would build an electric go-kart, to try things out, and then I would do the same on a car.

Honestly if someone chooses to buy a hybrid then let them. It isn't your money buying the car, it is theirs. There is no excuse to be upset that you don't get free parking downtown or 50+ mpg because YOU choose not to buy a hybrid for whatever reason it may be. Yes, you can meet or break the 50 mpg mark in a Yaris...but people forget that it is a subcompact car. You can't compare a Yaris to the current Prius which is a midsized sedan that gets 50+ mpg.

One thing that people fail to realize is that you can NOT achieve 50+ mpg in a Yaris and use your A/C at the same time....unless you are going downhill the entire time...which at that point would apply to just about any car. Of course that may change if Toyota releases it's Yaris Hybrid in the US.

I own a hybrid and I don't act one bit smug about it. I don't get why people think that hybrid owners are smug about owning one??? I think that folks that own sports cars, big diesel trucks and hummers are more smug and cocky about their vehicle.

If anything, I have to deal with idiots trying to run me over when I am going the speed limit but not sure if that is just attitude towards my hybrid or San Antonio style driving at it's best.

I don't know much about dams but what about the Olmos Dam? (I can hear snickering now). I can imagine all the Alamo Heights hybrids lined up next to the Olmos Dam juicing up.

Child: Can we go now? Is the car reenergized?
Parent: It is 'Olmos' done just wait a bit more sweety.

Uh, never mind me, I am just funning around.

You can just see my Skoda rental in the background, as well as hear Green Grass and High Tides by The Outlaws off of my MP3 player!

Yep!
Thx for the sweet video, I enjoyed it, the music too ^_^
