Anyone have recent experience with local banks for construction to permanent loans? Any info is most appreciated.

Default Construction financing

You should also try contacting Bob Davis with RPM Mortgage out of Boerne and ask him about Security Services one-time close. They get a better rate from Security services than if you went retail on the loan.

I just recently got a construction loan with BBVA-Compass Bank out of San Antonio - loan officer Greg Guillet (210-831-6988) made process painless. We tried going through Wells Fargo in San Marcos, but the loan officer was unfamiliar with construction loan process.

Thanks! Would anyone mind sharing rates with me? I called Broadway Bank, and they quoted me 5.5 percent with a 2 time close (had to be 2 time because we wouldn't have 20percent down).
