I love Costco, my girlfriend has Sams club membership, and we never go to Sams. Costco has imo a better selection, plus the benefits such when we use our AMEX card are great.

Costco but if you want 20k miles super cheap tires, look elsewhere. (I hope that is not what you were looking for, you get what you pay for).

I have a costco and sams membership. There are certain things that I perfer at both locations due to packaging. I know it is crazy to have both but I do like shopping at both because they also offer some different things. Sams I think carries more furniture and I have gotten wine racks, dining table and end tables at Costco. Costco doesn't seem to offer that much in selection. Yes Costco has coupons but most things are a bit cheaper at Sams. Sam's sells egglands best eggs and Costco does not.

Now for tires ... I would shop at Discount Tire.

I prefer Costco over Sams for food and other misc items.

For tires, Discount Tire is all I use.

As far as discount tire goes, the quote that Sam's club gave me for 4 SUV tires was $200 cheaper than discount tire.

Just because their name has discount in it, doesn't mean they are any cheaper from other places.

Which Costco does everyone prefer? The only I know of on my side of town (NE) is in Selma by the forum. Maybe I should venture out there to see how it compares to Sam's club. Also, I buy my tires at Sears. Call me crazy!

2 More at 281/1604 and another at UTSA/IH 10. I go to the one near UTSA and I like it bunches.
I heard from a Costco rep at a expo that there was talks to put one in the far west side but that's up in the air right now.

Maybe if you had gone back to Discount Tire with the quote from Sam's/Costco, you would have found out they will either match or beat the price (even if they take a loss).

When I worked there, we did this because we were very close to a Sam's Club and Costco. We had to stay competitive.
