It's about time. I feel sorry for the guy but he lost the team and since they can't be fired, he had to be. Hey maybe we'll get a good pick next year.

Who would be left to coach the team if Jerry dumps the head coach and assistant head coach?

Jason Garrett won't get the job on a permanent basis. He's just keeping the seat warm for Bill Cowher or some other big splashy hire to take over next year.

Having bills and salaries to pay, Jerry might like to be able to keep his cash flow intact by selling a few season tickets for next season during those 8 weeks of games.

As for training camp, the morbidly curious will come out to look at a bunch of clowns. Everyone loves a circus but if the Cowboys are going to move past this they should hold training camp in the heat of the Dallas summer and get back to basics. No more Oxnard, CA and side trips to Disneyland. In addition Jerry Jones should reasses his position in all of this also. Its easy to fire a coach but it's harder as the Owner, CEO, President and Chief Screwup in the front office to admit he's a big part of the problem(ego). He's had some high caliber coaches on board (Parcells, Johnson) and his meddlesome ways ran them off. He had better get a coach that doesn't mind kicking the butts of some of those over paid cream puffs called players...they too are a big part of the problem is this fiasco.

I am ashamed to live in a city were we are happy with the dallas clowns and with the city hosting their training camp, put me in the minority but i dislike Jones and his whole team. Some people are not smart enough to see that this guy is standing in our way of getting an NFL team, this is why i will never attend their games or their camp.

I worked Security at the camp 2 years ago and I am not a Cowboy fan but will say it was great to have all the people traveling into San Antonio just to watch the guys play catch and do walk throughs of the plays. I got a chance to meet some of the coaches, assistants, and players and found them all to be professionals and would love it if they bring the camp back again next year. It is a boost to the city and for those of us that will be going through serious Football Fever come camp time.
