For awesome meat (beef) go to Bolner's on S. Flores. It's pricey but worth it.

Oh yes, Sapphire you are soo right about Bolner's!!!

And their BBq is some of the ugliest, most delightful stuff I've eaten. Ha! We were thisclose to walking away after looking in their display case. Ick. But, it smelled so good and it was a place I wanted to cross off the list. Yum. We were very pleasantly surprised, and their cream corn is the BEST I've ever had. Rudy's Schmudy's. Bolner's cream corn is splendiferous.

Buffalo is tasty and lean, but the lack of fat makes for some dry eats. I had a steak at Ruth's Chris once and even rare it was quite dry.

Green Field's Grocer in Stone Oak has Akashi beef and on occasion has some nice deals on it as well.
